Now is the time to stop smoking as cigarettes become even more expensive
by Laura NinehamThe government has announced that tax on tobacco will rise, with tax on a packet of standard cigarettes set to jump by 15p. It was also announced that duty on tobacco will double to two per cent above inflation between 2011 and 2015.
This comes as plans for a new health policy were announced, hoping to ban people smoking in cars.
With the rising cost, and another potential smoking ban looming, it looks like now is as good a time as any to stop smoking. Hypnotherapy is seen by many as an effective tool to help quit smoking by those seeking the many benefits of a tobacco-free lifestyle.
Quitting smoking will save you money as the cost of smoking continues to soar. Stopping smoking will benefit more than just your bank balance; it will vastly improve your health and well being too. It reduces your chance of developing cancer, heart or lung disease and circulatory problems. It will also improve your levels of fertility, general fitness and improve your breathing. It will aid your appearance too; your skin, teeth and nails will look better and you'll no longer smell of stale tobacco.
A programme of hypnotherapy, combined with the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy and neuro linguistic programming is an effective way to stop nicotine cravings. It works by training the conscious and unconscious parts of the brain to believe that quitting smoking is possible. It's so effective that you could be smoke-free after just one session.
